Sketch's Pad Page #17 Long Jonh Video

Here is another video I did several years ago with some extra footage from some Crawford Bros. projects I had sitting around and a bunch of filler. It was good practice and a nice self promotional piece for my portfolio. My friends, " The Sons", were kind enough to let me use their song! Check um out now as " The Vacation "! They Rock!

Sketch's Pad Page #14 Gonji Sketches

Here are some sketches for works in progress based off the fantasy creations of T.C Rypel. The "Gonji" series of 5 books were done in the 80's and some really great fantasy if you missed them. God bless E-Bay. It revolves around a Ronin and his adventures in 17/18 century(?) Europe. All kinds of great battles and characters and plenty of WereWolves!

Sketch's Pad Page #9 "Cymorill's Revenge"

This is the most detailed work I've done in a bit. Graphite on paper, "Cymorill's Revenge" is loosely based/an ode to Morrcock's creation. In his world she was killed by her lover Elric. In mine she lives on and weilds The Black Blade, Stormbringer.

Sketch's Pad Page #8 " Moving Day "

This is a piece I did to symbolicly celebrate the moving of the company I work for to another location.
It is inspired by several Iron Maiden drawings of Eddie and started with a mock up in Photoshop of the building. Then it was hand drawn with graphite and scanned back into Photoshop for coloring.

Sketch's Pad Page #4 Ceramics2

A few more ceramic shots. The punch bowl is one of my favorites but painting the dancing figures on such an odd shape was a task. Its kind of the center piece for the "BONEZEE" collection. The "Love Is A .45" Platter was a fun one. It was actually shot 5 times with a .45 and did not shatter! At that point I figured might as well see if it could handle the kiln. Got lucky!
And of course, good Ol' EDDIE!!

Sketch's Pad Page #3 Ceramics

For about 4 years I worked as head Painter for a ceramics Co. It was a fun laid back job and they were kind enough to let me produce my own work in their shop. Most of these pieces where done with underglaze on greenware, which is very fragile until the firing stage but allows for a more painterly style. Most of the pieces painted on are pre formed but a few are my own creations.
